So, you’re wondering if the 3D craze is going to stop?  Yeah, right.  HTC’s EVO 3D is the next logical step when it comes to your cell phone.  The EVO 4G was a smashing success and pretty much dominated the sales department for Sprint.  We messed around with a display unit at CTIA and found it to be entertaining.  However, there are some lingering questions…

The EVO 3D has noticeably thinned when compared to the 4G, though it is a little taller.  One thing that we noticed right off the bat is that they neglected to add the “kick-stand” which allowed you to prop the unit up for long-term viewing.  The screen itself delivers impressive graphics, so there’s plenty to rave about there.

But, here’s where we get to the bad news…the battery life is horrible.  The 3D effect can put quite a drain on a unit, and until they find a way to make batteries last much longer, they may find that many take a pass on a unit like this.  It’s very similar to the Sensation, but seems to lack much of the durability and has a camera that leaves a little bit to be desired.  All in all, it’s 3D, which many will find to be quite intriguing, but until they pick up the pace a bit, it’s about all it has going for it…
