If you want to know what is happening on the technical front then Nintendo are always secretive about their new hardware and gaming.  Apple has also been cautious about their technical development and even Mario factory follows this.

Though Most of the techno journalists do not like this secrecy as per the analysis this strategy has work wonders for the last two console launches of the Kyoto.  The prime examples of this are Nintendo DS’s touch screen and Wii’s motion control.  Both these launches shook the market and were successful in their strategy.

Currently the same secrecy is involved in the new 3D glass free console.  All the necessary action has been taken by the company to keep this product under wrap.  All the developers and editors have been signed by the contract of the confidentiality and non disclosure agreement. 

Though Nintendo have already announced 73 games for their auto stereoscopic handheld. Not many people know about the rest of the features of this 3D camera which they claim will be an affordable handheld piece of consumer technology.  Everybody is guessing about whether it would be an affordable 3D camera or maybe it is a rudimentary video calling device.

Everybody is guessing now about the new 3DS from Nintendo whether it will be a cheap ‘Skype box’ for the people who are unable to afford the expensive toy Apple Facetime gadget which is more famous as iPhone 4.

Everybody is aware now that Nintendo is not happy with the Apple’s rapid success into the handheld gaming market with their iPhone.  The hardcore handheld gamer is happy and is getting more addicted to the Apples iPhone 3G and 3GS and they are willingly upgraded themselves with iPhone 4 and are happy about it.  This shows that Apple is very serious about their gaming technology now.

Till yesterday Nintendo was the undisputed leader of the handheld leader in the market.  But today in spite of their dominance in the handheld gaming market, their silence about the spec of its new equipment and the details of the equipment is making people curious about their new features which they might introduce in the next gaming handheld.

We all noticed just how quickly the talk escalated around 3D when Nintendo released the 3DS, but, while many still consider whether or not 3D technology is worth of the investment for the home, let’s think about what a glasses-free 3D experience could really mean.  Mobile devices are already getting involved with the movement, and with companies like Toshiba already beginning to release glasses-free 3D TVs to the public, we may be getting close.

Sure, the screen sizes weren’t magnificent as they only came out with 12- and 20-inch models, but it’s the fact that we’re getting closer and that the technology is advancing that really revs the proverbial engine.  But, in certain, illustrious segments of the market, we’ve seen models that offer the glasses-free 3D visuals on screens upwards of 65-inches.  While there may not be many that believe it will stick, it’s no doubt that a tech revolution of that magnitude will create some serious waves.

Many are speculating that we’ll begin seeing shelves full of 3D televisions that don’t rely on glasses within the next two years.  That should do plenty to excite a market that has obviously shown interest in the technology, but are simply a bit apprehensive regarding diving in until the market has settled a bit.  Either way, once there are 70-inch 3D TVs that don’t require specs to get the effect, I’m all over it.

Nintendo has already declared their 3DS. According to one of the Japanese blog even Apple is ready with their glass free 3D technology for iPod.

As per the rumors the company has started ordering glass free 3D LCD panel for iPod touch. The panel is similar to the one with Sharp company’s LCD which can display 3D image without the help of glasses while on horizontal and vertical position.

The information has leaked from the vendor who has been providing the LCD panel to the Apple. He is supplying many other parts to the company.

The information about Sharp is quite surprising as many people are aware of the Sharp glass free autostereoscopic 3D display at CES -2011 and liked it. At the same exhibition many people took the image of the LCD with their phones/cameras. Sharp is already on their way for unveiling the technology this year. The exact date is not yet officially declared by the Sharp people.

All these stories may not be true and there are many speculations in the industry about the new 3D products and until the product arrive in the market, people publish these kinds of stories to gain publicity.

As per some other news Apple can process his product without Touch. Touch will definitely make his processor faster and can improve the camera clarity. The current design is good enough to impress people and in case they want to increase the battery life without Touch then they can always make it little thicker which will not spoil the look of the product.

Finally, no one knows the plan of action about 3D Touch. Nintendo is already coming to the US market on March 27,2011. First Apple can see the response of the technology and then decide whether it is really required or not.

Recently Nintendo has announced that they are going to shift 3DS units of 1.5 million in Japan and about 2.5 million of the new handheld consoles in the other parts of the world by March. President of Japan Satoru Iwata has set a target of supplying 4 million of 3DS all over the world despite the complication of this financial year of the company.

By the reports of popular journal The Wall Street of Japan, the president Iwata has fixed the total targets of 3DS to ship by the end of March and the total unit is 1.5 million as well as 2.5 million of the 3DS need to be shipped to United State and Europe and the other parts of the world. Last weekend there was the first public show at Nintendo world of 3DS, outside Tokyo. Nintendo gives a confirmation of launching the new series of video games to the Japanese. So, you thought that the 3DS craze was over, huh?  In the UK, Tesco sold out of the 3D handheld once the price was slashed by Nintendo.  Sagging sales seemed to signal dark times for the gaming juggernaut, but sometimes all you need is a little bit of a boost.  With the dropped pricing, there are obviously several thousand gamers out there that simply wanted to get in on the lower price.  Not a bad idea, if you ask me.

Learning that the unit actually has some impressive processing power and solid augmented reality applications, UK gamers are not the first to start snatching the units from shelves.  We’re starting to see this trend everywhere, so perhaps all Nintendo needed to do was warm up the water a bit to get gamers to jump in…again, not a bad idea.

The price slashing should hold where it’s at now, and with games being sold at a lowered range as well, it’s probably the best time to find out what the 3DS is all about. Ocarina of Time 3D and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean have quickly become hot commodities, so if you don’t have them yet, you probably want to get on it.  Nintendo admitted that they’re still hoping that more game developers get in on the 3D platform, and with some of the titles we’re seeing speculated, it seems that they’re starting to.  In the meantime, go grab a 3DS if you don’t already have one.  The price is right, and it probably won’t get much better!

Best Buy is opening its doors at midnight to offer gamers a first chance opportunity at the much anticipated Nintendo 3DS

What are you doing at midnight on March 27th?  If you’re a avid gamer, there’s a fairly decent chance that you’ll be standing outside of a Best Buy location, hoping to get your hands on arguably the most anticipated gaming console in a decade.  Launch parties are being scheduled across the country, but Nintendo is hosting an official event in New York City.  Music, food, free 3DS giveaways...if you’re in the area, what would you rather be doing?

The Best Buy in Union Square will kick the release party off at 9pm EDT, and you’ll likely be surrounded by thousands of crazed fans.  However, don’t be upset if you live in Texas, as all Best Buy outlets are selling the 3DS.  With the numbers posted in Japan, and current pre-sale figured being released in the UK, it’s a safe bet that the 3DS will shatter just about every personal console record ever set.

So, let’s start planning...Sunday afternoon we’ll grab some warm clothes, complete with fanboy t-shirts, and Mapquest the closest Best Buy.  We’ll pull up, hop out of the car, and discretely begin playing our 3DS that we got weeks ago....

No?  Well, if your Sunday release party plans sound something like that, then you’ll likely need a body guard.  Especially if they sell out before everyone gets one like they did in Japan...

There’s something about hearing a lawyer on the other end of the telephone that makes you nervous, isn’t there?  Nintendo woke up to that reality, and while we aren’t sure if they called first, lawyers representing Tomita Technologies are claiming that the stereoscopic 3DS display was actually patented by their client first.  No one’s really sure, as details are hazy, but ultimately, there’s a chance that this gets expensive. 

The patent number is 7,417,664 and the technology is called “Stereoscopic Image Picking UP and Display System Based Upon Optical Axes Cross-Point Information”.  Sure, it’s not as catchy as “3DS”, but apparently, it represents the same concept.  The parallax barrier 3D screen that Nintendo used in the design for the popular 3D gaming handheld may be utilizing someone else’s idea.  Bummer if you’re Tomita Technologies, but if they look at the bright side, maybe Nintendo just got them some great press!

Maybe that’s a “glass half full” mentality, but if this claim holds up, there’s no doubt a handsome ransom could be paid for the use of the parallax barrier.  We haven’t heard much from either side, so far, but rest assured, we’ll have updates as we get them.  This should be interesting.

The glasses-free 3D experience that the 3DS gave the world got many people wondering where the technology was headed next.  MIT decided to answer that question.  They believe that they are working on technology that will bring the 3D experience into living rooms everywhere without the use of horribly gaudy glasses. 

The researchers call it HR3D and the technology doesn’t cause the usual loss of resolution or brightness.  How is this possible?  Well, everything lies in the screen design.  Through two layers of liquid-crystal displays, a customized pattern between the layers helps to deliver a crisp, 3D image regardless of your viewing angle. 

While the 3DS uses vertical bands, and the parallax-barrier system utilizes pinholes, the HR3D uses a pattern that is unique to the picture beneath it.  The pattern was determined through mathematical calculations (of course it was, it’s MIT), and the necessary pattern is quite close to the source image.  Basically, they’re taking the vertical slits and adapting them to adjust to what’s being portrayed on the screen.  It’s a lot, I know, but they’re working on it.  When they perfect it, we’re all going to be enjoying our movies in 3D without looking like fools!  Yay!

Interested in LG’s latest cell device that offers up some 3D content for your viewing pleasure?  Of course you are, but unfortunately, if you’re incredibly loyal to LG, you’ll need to wait, as they’ve pushed the release date back to June 6th.  This is significant as Play.com and Expansys have already released their 3D handsets, so LG will need to come out with a bang if they want to make a splash.

The UK cell market is getting multiple 3D handsets, and those looking to get in on them will likely enjoy well-priced contract deals to lure customers.  Three, Vodafone, T-Mobile and Orange have all claimed that they are carrying the devices, so this competition should be great for your wallet.

Glasses-free mobile 3D is something that has been discussed since Nintendo unveiled the 3DS, so it’s going to be fun sitting back and watching the ripples become waves.  LG will undoubtedly be coming out swinging, but we have no idea why they delayed the release.  Maybe they wanted to make some adjustments to offer features where the others lacked?  Who knows…maybe something happened in development that caused them to hold off for a bit longer?  Regardless, they won’t be the company capitalizing on the initial rush, as it appears that at least three other corporations are being given the opportunity to cash in on the initial rush.
