Few days back only we have seen a video for the latest LG Optimus 3D, but now another and much longer one has come up which shows how the glasses-free phone with 3D effect can be beneficial to you in your day to day situations such as practicing yoga. A verdict has come from LG that sometimes two dimensional source such as large screen TV, fails to convey the simple things and which can only be grasped via holding phone and viewing it in a much smaller screen of 4.3 inch. You yourself can experience this. Check out the video for better understanding.

Nothing puts the brakes on 3D excitement like opening up your 3D gadget and realizing that there just isn’t enough content to make it worthwhile. However, this paradigm, which many had begun getting used to, is changing thanks to companies like LG. The Optimus 3D will have a software update that helps users convert their 2D content. Due out in October, it will take any game from OpenGL and add the third dimension.
Fifty games will have pre-optimized settings available, and you’ll be able to alter the rest through a settings menu. The application will take anything you load into the unit and immediately try to split it. By taking the foreground and separating it from the background, they will come back together in a 3D rendition. If you don’t like the 3D effects, you won’t be disappointed to learn that you can still play everything in 2D.
LG is continuing to push the envelope with 3D technology. Already a pillar in the 3D TV market, improving the Optimus 3D is in the company’s best interest. Don’t get me wrong, the device is killer, but when you start giving it the ability to create 3D content without having it look horrible, you’re really making headway toward my heart. We’ll see how the update looks when we get it on our hands, but for now, just rest easy knowing that more 3D content is on the way…you can thank LG for that…

It is likely that LG is going to release their new 3D phone. It has been officially announced by the company that the Optimus 3D will be making its debut appearance at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in few weeks. This phone will mark LG’s entry into the world of 3D smartphones. It may not be the first phone in the world with 3D capability as the Galapagos from Sharp came out before, but for the first time the consumers will be offered with a complete 3D experience. The present smartphones, that are available now, lack in 3D content but certain features have been introduced by LG that can help you in creating your 3D content. A dual lens camera is there that can help you in 3D recording. The LCD panel that is free of glasses will help in viewing 3D and you will be able to share content any time with your friends from anywhere.

In order to see which smartphone has the most amazing features and reflects a lot of power, AnandTech has taken a decision to execute some tests. According to the tests carried out by AnandTech, LG Optimus 3D seems to lead the chart comfortably.
The Google Nexus also did a pretty good job during the tests eventhough it is equipped with a single core processor. IPad and iPhone 4 were also a part of these tests. However the margin between the phones is very less when it comes to performance and hence factors like brand loyalty and aesthetics would play a major role while opting for your favorite phone.

All the latest 3D gadgets are now coming up with a new technology. They are offering the users with a chance of viewing without wearing the 3D glasses. This was first started by the Nintendo 3DS. However, LG is now demonstrating the Optimus 3D, which is the first smartphone in 3D in the world. But a question has been raised by many that which one of these two devices offers better 3D technology.
Both the Optimus 3D from LG and the 3DS from Nintendo use the parallax technology for displaying their 3D magic. This is a thin additional layer present over the display which is covered by small slits. Due to this the light which is projected out of the screen of these gadgets gets split into two different light paths. These displays effectively show two images at the same time. With the new technology there is no need of wearing the 3D glasses to experience a stereoscopic image. However the drawback of this technology is that you need to keep your eyes fixed in the particular spot. If your eyes move from the spot then illusion gets vanished in no time.
But among the two devices the Nintendo 3DS is reckoned as much better than the Optimus 3D when it comes to 3D viewing. May be more than one person cannot enjoy the 3D experience sitting around the console but the 3DS can be tilted to a fair inch without the spell getting broken. The sweet spot of the LG Optimus 3D is quite tight and if you move the phone or your head little bit then that will spoil the 3D effect. Besides this there are other problems in the Optimus 3D. The inbuilt accelerometer of the phone is used by various mobile games due to which the smartphone itself tilted to influence the on screen activities. But if the Optimus 3D is tilted even a little bit then the 3D effect will be broken.
There is an accelerometer in the 3DS also and this technology is used by lots of games that are available nowadays. So these games may suffer from the similar problem. However in the Nintendo 3DS, generally the buttons or the touch screen panel is used for controlling the device. This means you do not need to move the console too much for playing most of the games.
However both these devices are strong contenders in the 3D world with their excellent 3D effect. Resolution of anything that comes on the screen is halved by the 3D content but still everything that is seen looks highly bright and sharp. The depth of this 3D effect is quite impressive as the foreground objects seem to be coming out of the screen and the objects in the background provides an excellent feeling. This is really a great fun and the effect is efficiently handled by both the devices.
Do not forget the 2D imaging also. The LG Optimus 3D’s Android menu is not in the 3D format. However it does not have any problem with the 3D display which always looks sharp and bright. There is a slider control in the Nintendo 3DS on the top panel. This is quite impressive and helps you in switching over to the 2D format whenever you require. In case of the Optimus 3D, there is a slider on the screen which offers the similar purpose.
Thus only in terms of 3D effect, the Nintendo 3DS has an edge over the LG Optimus But there are other great features that are present in the Optimus 3D smartphone. This is a powerful smartphone that is powered by Android. This phone possesses a strong web browser which supports Flash and 5 megapixels dual cameras which can help the users in capturing 3D snaps or 3D videos in 720p. The users can also download lots of free games from the Android Market. The customers can also upload the videos to the 3D channel of YouTube. The phone also has a dual core processor which helps to run intensive games and applications.
So you need to decide which one you want on the basis of your requirements. If you want an excellent and powerful smartphone and you are ready to spend money for that, then the Optimus 3D would be a great choice. However if you want to experience 3D gaming at an affordable price then you should go for the Nintendo 3DS. This device may have less features than the Optimus 3D but you obviously would not get some of your most favorite and enjoyable games on the LG Optimus 3D.

The first autostereocopic 3D mobile phone has just been introduced by LG. The Optimus 3D is the first of its kind to go glasses-free and is available exclusively from the Carphone Warehouse. This is what we’ve been waiting for! Lose the glasses and get your 3D experience the way it should be. The phone has a 4.3” WVGA display and is capable of displaying 2D images at 1080p and 3D at up to 720p.
The Carphone Warehouse pumped up the Optimus 3D’s release by painting 3D optical illusions in cities such as Glasgow and Manchester. The phone is available only through The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy and should be a hot seller early on. I know I would want to be one the first in line to check out this neat device. (That’s if you have the £500for the out of contract price.)
The Optimus runs on the cheap and versatile Android operating system which has made owing a smart phone much more possible for the everyday person. It is also equipped with an HDMI 1.4 connection to a TV, a 5 mega-pixel dual lens camera, 8GB of memory, and built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities for speedy Internet connections.
Among the glasses-free 3D features is a collection of games and the great thing about this device is being able to shoot your own 3D. Your footage can be uploaded to a YouTube 3D channel and although you are not able to view any 3D movies on the phone yet, Carphone Warehouse says this is in the works. The Optimus 3D opens the door for you to have a 3D experience in the palm of your hand and the best part is no glasses needed!

So, are you tired of getting more release date news regarding the LG Optimus 3D yet? Of course you are, but that’s not stopping us from hitting you with some more! Carphone Warehouse has announced that the elusive device is hitting shelves on the 7th of July. That should come as welcome news as we’ve been waiting on this guy for quite some time. Best Buy will be the other outlet in which you can pick up the latest LG offering, though you can expect that to expand with time.
The dual-core, Android 2.2 powered 3D handset has captured the eye of many, but with so many changes in the availability, we started to think it was all a figment of our imagination. 3D smartphones are hitting shelves at an increased rate, and there’s a chance that this could be the cream of the crop. We don’t have one yet, obviously, but when we get one, you know we’ll fill you in.
Graham Stapleton, speaking on behalf of Carphone Warehouse, sure seems pretty excited about the new device and believes that you will be too. “It’s a remarkable piece of technology and I’m confident that our customers will be as impressed and excited as we are.” Those are strong words, and though things may sometimes be hyped, my money’s on the fact that this device will move quite a few units. So, tell me UK-market…are you interested?

Well, technology can do this to you from time to time…you wait anxiously for a new device, and the company keeps pushing back the release date. LG initially said that the Optimus 3D would hit the UK market at the end of April. Then, we were told that it’d get there on June 6th. Now, they’re saying that the anticipated 3D cell device will be available as late as July 13th. Hmm, let’s just say Christmas and get it over with, right?
Other sites like Amazon have been touting several different release dates, but many have just elected to remove the date altogether. Not a bad idea given the current landscape of dependability, right? LG has withheld comment on what’s been causing the delays, but rest assured, it’s something involving the integration of the 3D technology.
There’s some speculation that it isn’t a hold up, but instead, LG has been “beefing up” the unit. 3D AR compatibility is one of the rumored additions, but when it does hit stores, it had better impress. The tech market can be fickle, and when people have been waiting this long for something, they seldom give it a break when they do get it. So, July 13th it is…for now…we’ll keep you posted should things change…again…and again…and again…

Anyone that thought that Apple was going to leave the 3D realm unexplored obviously doesn’t understand much about the company. If they feel that you want it, they give it to you…at a price, of course. Rumors are flying that the new iPad3 will have 3D capabilities. Of course it will…
We don’t have many details regarding this news, outside of the fact that we hear it’s going down. Other than that, we can’t tell you where it’ll be glasses-free or not. Further, we have no idea whether or not it’ll brush your teeth and wash your back for you either. But, again, if you want it, Apple’s the company to make it happen.
With the LG Optimus 3D on the way, Apple needs to make sure that they don’t lose any loyal consumers simply because they didn’t want to play the game. Even if the 3D tablet concept doesn’t hold for long, they can simply head back down the 2D road with the iPad4. However, do you really see that happening? Honestly, I’m expecting the iPad4 to offer up holograms at this point. Maybe a laser? Ok, fine…I’ll settle for the 3D effect until they come up with the next great visual apparatus.
