The LG G-Slate Shows Off 3D Capabilities in Viral Video
So, who is theofficialLGgirl? After being selected to represent the company in their new line of G-Slate advertisements, she received a tablet of her own, and immediately proved that this new device could usher in a new technological battle regarding tablets and 3D capabilities. Once she had her hands on the G-Slate, which runs the Andriod 3.0 OS, also known as Honeycomb, she posted a viral video on YouTube to show off what the possibilities are with the soon to be released tablet.
The G-Slate operates with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, can run 3D content, and can be run through your television using an HDMI port. But, if you want the 3D experience, you will need to rock some glasses. The release date is still a little hazy as they’re only mentioning that we can expect it sometime this spring.
More details should be forthcoming, as LG is hoping to show consumers that the iPad isn’t the only option on the market for a complete tablet device. In coordination with T-Mobile for service, check out the video to see the capabilities and stay tuned for more information.

nVidia brings 3D content to the web with their new online portal
There we have it. It was only a matter of time before websites all over the internet started delivering 3D content to the world. Leading the pack is nVidia, who, at CES, announced a new website, 3DVisionLive (http://www.3dvisionlive.com) which serves as an online portal for people to share their 3D photos and videos with others all over the internet.
There is already content from professional photographers that look really cool. There are also videos of sports, movie trailers and they also get to rate content that they see. nVidia has added support for their 3D Vision kit, as well as the old fashioned 3D, with red and blue glasses.
nVidia said that the main purpose of this website was to create a community that would allow users to share their 3D experiences in an easy to use manner, and embrace and promote the technology itself. There is already quite a lot of content on the site, from tons of sports videos, to landscape and wildlife photographs, but from first looks, it seems the site will appeal most to the typical 3D gaming geeks. Head over there now to check out all the content that nVidia has put forth for you.
nVidia 3DTV Play now available!!
A few weeks ago, we wrote about nVidia’s 3DTV play. In case you missed that post, here’s a recap. nVidia’s already come in big in the 3D gaming industry with their 3D vision kits. Their 3DTV play software is meant to take your small screen gaming experience and put it on your 3DTV. Well, apparently nVidia has started sales for the standalone version of the software on their online hub. It seemed like a very quite affair, as there were no press releases or anything about it. Heck, there wasn’t even a blog post on their blog. No official announcement whatsoever. So, for those of you who aren’t aware yet, head over to the nVidia online store to grab yourself a copy. The version that’s available now doesn’t require the nVidia 3d vision kit, and is retailing at USD39.99.
