LG just seems to be racing toward the finish line (if there was such a thing), don’t they? They’ve made some serious noise with the Cinema 3D Smart TV line and now they’ve upgraded their flagship and unveiled the “aircraft carrier” of their line: the LW980S. If you’re looking to finally take the plunge into the next level of LED 3D TVs, we think this is the one.
The 980S utilizes passive 3D technology and the Nano Full LED visuals appear to be amongst the best in the business. With a solid Smart TV platform that will help you integrate everything in your house including your dishwasher (don’t quote us on that, it’s just a rumor), you’ll be able to sit back and run everything through this unit.
Because LG continues to push the envelope in terms of home 3D technology, we expect this one to make waves when it gets unveiled at IFA in Germany. We should have a review on the way, but for the time being, you can only sit back, salivate, and wait for the price tag which should require a blood sample and your first born…though as I sit here and type this, glaring at a picture of my first born, I gotta look at him and say, “Hey buddy…we had a good run.”
