Samsung’s 950 3DTV Series Now Has a Price Tag

When Samsung showed off their new, smaller 3D TV units, they neglected to tell us a price.  That’s usually a good idea when the initial prices come flying out at $750-800 bucks a pop.  Well, that’s the currency converted price tag, at least, as they’ve only announced what the units will sell for in Korea.

Seeming designed for gamers and desktop arrangements, the 27TA950 and the 27TA750 offer a great 3D experience despite being much smaller than standard televisions.  The specs are impressive as they both showcase a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 1080p resolution, and a 2ms response time.  With all of the inputs on the units, there’s no doubt that these are designed to operate as a multimedia interface.

Though prices are expected to change when the units go onto the international market, the initial Korean prices seem to be pretty high.  There’s a good chance that if this doesn’t change, an economy model will be in order if they plan on pushing any noticeable number of units.  Would I love one?  Of course.  Am I paying for one?  Not at this rate…
