Nothing can frustrate techies like getting the latest toy and learning that something was left out. That’s likely the sentiment many were feeling when they picked up their HTC EVO 3D only to learn that Netflix wasn’t on it. Well, folks, that’s all changed, as Netflix for Android is now a downloadable suite so you can enjoy all of that 3D content you crave on the go.
Through a downloadable app, EVO 3D users can update their units to host the popular movie streaming service. However, it’ll be interesting to see just how intense these movies can get with the limited screen size. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the EVO 3D. I got to play with one last week and found it to be a blast. But, I just don’t know how interested I am on watching movies on it. Maybe tablets are a better platform for streaming Netflix. Then again, I don’t make those decisions so…
Either way, the service is there and many are breathing a sigh of relief today about the news. We don’t expect this to be the last we hear, either. With the 3D platform now reaching smartphones, look for many application designers to get in on the action. So, did you already snag one? Interested in streaming some 3D movies on your smartphone? It’ll make a wait at the doctor’s office a bit more enjoyable, that’s for sure. Weigh in on the comment thread, and let’s see who’s already picked up an EVO 3D, who plans on it soon, or who thinks it’s the worst idea in the world. I’m on the edge of my seat…
