The Vuzix Wrap 1200 3D Glasses Combine Fashion and Function

Ok, so maybe the title led you to believe that you should rock these new specs while out on the beach, but we really can’t substantiate that claim.  In fact, no one’s really claiming that.  Instead, we’re taking a look at the Vuzix Wrap 1200 3D specs and how much better they look than the disposable jobs you get at your local Cineplex.  But, there’s more to these puppies than meets the eye.  In fact, they simulate a 75-inch 3D viewing screen directly in the lenses.

Imagine sitting on an airplane and enjoying a 3D flick without a screen anywhere in sight.  This is some Strange Days stuff right here.  You’ll be getting 852 x 480-pixel mini-monitors that deliver 16:9 visuals directly to the glasses.  With an iPhone port, you’ll be streaming content from your handheld device which only heightens the convenience.

From 2D to 3D content, you’ll be able to view anaglyph or side-by-side formats, which should further expand your options.  The Vizix Wrap 1200’s use a pair of AA batteries to deliver up to 3 hours of viewing.  Though they seem incredible, there’s definitely something to consider:  they’re going to cost you around $500…yikes…
