i3D Gives us a Reprieve From 3D Glasses…Maybe Forever…

You love 3D, don’t you?  I mean, with the exception of the annoying glasses, everything that comes in 3D just seems to be revolutionary these days.  Now, when it comes to tablets or devices using iOS, you can get the glasses-free 3D experience with a simple download.  iPads and iPhones won’t be the same once you install this software that tracks your viewing angle, giving you everything you feel is lacking in our handhelds, these days.

The included videos showcases just how well the application works, and honestly, we were pretty impressed.  Nothing is going to jump off of the screen, mind you, but in the end, you’ll have the depth that so many 2D screens simply can’t offer at the moment.  Continued development with “Head-Coupled Perspective” should further the 3D advancement, so expect this to mark the beginning of another leap in the visual technology.

The application uses a monocular display, but when the application is paired with a stereoscopic rendition, the sky could be the limit, according to the app developers.  Interested in getting some quality 3D without the use of bulky or expensive glasses?  At this point, it seems that reality is only a download away…
