WrestleMania may go 3D this year

It has been reported that the World Wrestling Entertainment is going to film the WrestleMania this year in 3D. The event which will take place in Atlanta on 3rd April is going to be the first event of WWE as well as first MMA or wrestling event in North America that will be filmed in the 3D format.

You should remember that this 3D will be in the theatres and not on your television that has 3D capability. The WWE Company is working together with the Fathom events, which is known for promotion of theatre concerts and many other events.  This is the same company which promoted the UFC events in various theatres throughout the country.

However there is no need to get too much excited as according to the Observer, Fathom Events and WWE are still negotiating about the money split. WWE wants to get 60-70 percent of the total revenue, but Fathom Events want WWE to take a smaller share.

So if this works out then it will be something quite big. You will be able to watch may be Undertaker vs. Batista or John Cena vs. CM Punk in 3D at your local film theatre.
