When it comes to 3D monitors, we’re getting the right to be a little picky these days. Sure, the novelty is nice, but now that there are options, there’s no sense is getting all uppity over a single design. With that in mind we turned our gaze to the BenQ XL2410T 3D monitor. This unit looks great right from the start. With good ergonomic positioning and impressive performance, we were ready to give this one everything we had in terms of thumbs up.
However, the price forced us to lose a bit of our zest for the unit, and when we got into it a bit, we realized that you’re going to need to make some major adjustments to get it working perfectly. The backlight design caused a bit of bleed, and in order to maximize the capabilities with every type of media, we had to tinker with the settings for quite a while.
But, in the end, we got everything locked in and fully enjoyed what this guy could do. This unit deviates from the CCFL designs you’ll see in most designs and utilized LED backlighting. The 23.6-inch screen offers up some great visuals, and though we balk at the price tag, we’re going to give the BenQ XL2410T 3D monitor high marks. Expect to make some adjustments along the way, but once you’ve got it dialed in, you’ll love what you see.
