Olympus launched 3d camera - capture 3d photos with new 3d technology

Olympus releases new camera line including 3D picture capability

The E-PL1 quickly became one of the most popular compact cameras around, but when Olympus publicized the release of three new point and shoot designs, the world took notice.  Their SZ line is releasing the 30MR and the 20, both offering standard camera action.  But, for those of you who tend to be adventurous and need your camera to be adventurous too, the TG-810 has a “crushproof” design that can take about as much excitement as you can.  Why is this such big news?  Glad you asked…

The new Olympus models can take 3D stills via an angle technique that has raised some eyebrows.  By taking 2 shots of the same still from different angles, the resulting photos give you a 3D memory of anything you encounter.  With an Automatic and Manual 3D option, the device will actually let you know when it’s time to pan.  If you’re an expert 3D photographer, you have the control you want.  If this is your first dance with the technology, the Automatic mode will pan for you, snapping with perfect timing to give you 3D photos that will stun anyone checking out your vacation photo gallery.

When it comes to 3D technology, seems that everyone is crashing the party, and Olympus just snuck in the back door…
