Formula Drift on n3D

The next special event that is scheduled for the n3D channel of the Direct TV is the finale of the Formula Drift season. It is the round 7 of the season which is going to be the title fight. The two special events of one hour will feature track action along with interviews with racing drivers such as Tanner Foust.

The Formula Drift event will debut in 3D on Direct TV; exclusively available on n3D.

The n3D will provide the fans of motorsport with coverage of the 2010 title event of the Formula Drift in 3D this February. The race track will be brought into your living room by Direct TV when they will exclusively broadcast the Title Fight event or Round 7 of the Formula Drift in 3D. The event will be presented on n3D, the 3D channel of Direct TV, channel 103. The event begins at 8 p.m. ET on 4th February, Friday and the customers of Direct TV will have access to the event, which will include extensive coverage of the race, exclusive interviews and footage behind the scenes, everything in 3D.

The 3D special that is produced by Formula Drift and Direct TV, will follow the exciting action of title event of the 2010 season of Formula Drift, which took place at Irwindale’s Toyota Speedway in October ;last year. The footage will have:

• Full coverage of the season finale- the Title Fight. This will include the final rivalry between Vaughn Gittin and Tanner Foust, two time champion of the Formula Drift.

• Exclusive interviews with the pro drivers of the Formula Drift.

• Tips of drifting by professional drivers that include Tanner Foust.

• Footage behind the scenes with Ryan Sage and Jim Liaw, the owners of the Formula Drift.

• Coverage of the actions off the track that include fans, import models and vendors.

According to Chris Long, the senior vice president of the entertainment division of Direct TV, watching the Formula Drift event in 3D at home will make you feel that the entire action is taking place in the middle of your room. This exciting and action-packed event will be made much more compelling for the home viewers due to the 3D technology.

According to Ryan Sage, the co-founder and vice-president of Formula Drift this project is highly ambitious as for the first time the drifting sport is going to be telecasted in 3D. The features of 3D filming are perfect for the physics and nature of the sport. Watching the Formula Drift event is 3D is one of the most exciting and visceral things to watch in the 3D format.
