If you are anything like me, you love the 3D experience when gaming but cannot stand the fact that the colors simply dull-down when you put the specs on.  Well, after hearing the gripes from gamers for months, NVIDIA is answering the bell with their latest active-shutter 3D glasses release – the 3D Vision 2.  The premise here involves eliminating that dulling color effect that we’ve endured in the past, and instead, giving us something that more closely resembles the titles that we know and love.

They created a much larger lens, about 20% larger to be exact, and they have restructured the lens frames, giving you a more comfortable experience when wearing headphones.  These are said to be easier on your eyes as well, so hopefully any eyestrain that you experienced in the past will stay in the past. 

When coupled with the latest NVIDIA displays, the word is that this is going to change the way we see 3D gaming.  I haven’t gotten my mitts on a pair, yet, but when I do, we’ll revisit this conversation and I’ll get you guys some more digs on the new equipment.  The glasses sell for $99 a pair, or $149 for the kit.  Enjoy your 3D gaming, everybody.  Now, if we can just talk them into working on virtual reality a little bit more…

NVIDIA made a valiant effort in bringing the 3D technology into the gaming world, and despite loads of excitement and expectation, battery issues forced the NVIDIA 3D GeForce system to fall flat.  But, they’ve recognized where things went awry, and have now released a new version of the GeForce 3D Vision glasses.  If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again, right?  NVIDIA sure seems to think so, but to ensure that those skeptical of the previous model don’t hold it against them, they’re offering up quite an upgrade. 

Users will enjoy a battery life of as much as 60 hours without charging.  But, NVIDIA shocked everyone when the price specs were announced.  When they said that they’re actually $50 CHEAPER than the previous model, we about fell out of our chairs.  This should create quite a stir with gamers and movie goers that were looking for an inexpensive means to enjoy their 3D features. 

So, we’ve gone from having your 3D specs run out of battery life halfway through a movie, likely causing you to slam them to the floor, to suddenly having a very reasonable option that delivers in just about every department imaginable.  Selling everywhere for $149, there’s no doubt that this design will be snapped up quickly by 3D enthusiasts everywhere.

ASUS Ceo, Jerry Shen came to downtown Taipei for release of NVIDIA’s 3D glasses. He had to go for the press event.   After congratulating NVIDIA for its success in the 3D category, he also had time to announce trio of new PCs.  He described them as ‘3D PCs’, where you will need 3D active shutter glasses for a computer.  It will have a 120Hz 3D capable display and a discrete graphics processor.  The company is eagerly looking for the tablet PC, net book and ultraportable.  After the event is over  he went for his own press event.
ASUS G51Jx-EE is a ready laptop for 3D viewing which will cuts out the IR emitter and will wait for NVIDIA’s 3D vision glasses which are active shutter.  The second thing is the Eee Top ET2400 gives exactly similar capabilities on an all in one desktop.  The main target group for this is the bedroom movie watchers.  Lastly the CD5390 tower is known as the most powerful gaming solution in the world.  It has been equipped with a Geforce GTX 480 GPU and support for a trio of 3D LCDs.  Many people are eagerly waiting for more news on this subject but unfortunately there are no more details are available on this.
There is news that Eee Top ET2400 is going to roll with USB3.0 support and with a 23.6 inch LCD but the other machines is still not known.

Up until January 6th 2011, we’ve seen 3D PC gaming come primarily in the form of an nVidia 3D Vision Kit. Of course, you’ll need a 3D ready monitor as well, which need to have a minimum refresh rate of 120Hz. While this was a pretty good setup, some people will still be annoyed with the little USB IR receiver that comes with the 3D Vision Kit. This little receiver will take up a little space on your desk, and for those of you who don’t like clutter, this may not seem like the best option. That’s why, this year at CES, Acer has partnered with nVidia to bring out the first 27-inch 3D capable monitor with an in-built IR receiver, the Acer HN274H. The monitor is full HD (1920 x 1080) and stereoscopic 3D capable. It come with a HDMI 1.4 and a Dual Link DVI port, and is also advertised as one of the first to feature WLED backlighting on a 3D monitor. So If you’re looking for a replacement monitor, would like to go 3D, and are kind of a neat freak when it comes to your workspace, this is your best bet.

A leaked message from the sources of NVidia reveals that a new 3D tablet for PCs should be on the way for the users by this spring.

The specialist on graphics from  NVidia is working on the two new  additions to the ARM based chips on its Tegra line, particularly for the Tegra2 3D and for Tegra3.

Tegra2 3D is said to be introduced to the users by this Spring 2011 and is a new version of NVidia’s Tegra2 chip, which is a support for the portable 3D display on tablets for the PCs and for the mobile phones.

Tech Radar has made a call to the UK based NVidia to know the latest plans on the 3D phones as well for the PCs.

A rumour is that LG, a leading PC manufacturer is also planning to prepare a 3D version of its  G-Slate tablet that is going to be android based and which uses Tegra2 for its PCs and for the mobile phones.

On 25th of March by the following month in U.K, Nintendo is planning to launch its new glasses free 3D’s for its users.

Because of this information, it is expected that lots of 3D capable tablet and mobiles for the PCs are going to available all through the year for the users from LG as well as Nvidia.

Along with the support for Blu-ray and for 1900x1200 output, NVidia’s 1.5 GHZ Tegra3 are going to come with four Corter A9 cores and also with an improved version of GPU are expected to be marketed to the home cinema and also for the laptop industries by this autumn.

I’ve gotta believe that NVIDIA has been in touch with Balco.  I mean, there’s no doubt that there are some performance-enhancing drugs going on here.  Ok, so it’s not shady at all, but the proof is in the proverbial pudding here.  NVIDIA has upgraded all of their high-end GeForce GTX video cards, offering up what they consider “the fastest notebook GPU ever”.  Wow, that’s a bold statement.  You’ve got our attention, and we’re definitely listening…go on…

So, they’ve taken the GTX 485M and replaced it with the 580M, which is said to blow past Radeon’s HD 6970M six times over.  The 570M is also said to be replacing the 470M as it overs 20% faster processing speeds.  What in the heck is going on here?  Oh wait, it’s the 3D, isn’t it?  Yep…

3DTV Play, 3D Vision, DirectX11, CUDA, etc. are all supported and NVIDIA is starting to talk about coupling technology.  According to the company, when you pair their units with their Optimus graphic switching technology, you’ve got quite the battery-life.  The 580M is available in the Alienware M17X and M18X while the 570M is part of the MSI GT780R innards.  The Clevo laptops, 3D capable of course, also use the 580M, so there’s no doubt that they’re making the new vid cards as available as possible.  3D gaming is about to hit new levels, and you have NVIDIA to thank for that.

There’s nothing like a good deal, and while many are still trying to sort out how they feel about 3D, NVIDIA is helping to sway your decision.  The 3D Vision active shutter LCD glasses should make the conversion pretty convenient when you consider price.  But, there’s a catch: the ten-foot USB cable doesn’t do much for mobility, does it?  Considering that these are obviously designed with the gamer in mind, I wouldn’t expect the short movement range to affect sales.  After all, we’re usually just sitting 2 feet from a monitor, anyway, right?

Watching media at your desk may not be the most comfortable route to go, but with a wireless version of the same specs available, NVIDA is leaving little reason to not snap a pair of these up.  Priced at $99 ($149 for the wireless), the 3D Vision glasses are going to elevate the adoption rates involved with 3D PC setups.

Long flights with the right laptop and a pair of these specs should be no problem.  Watching 3D Blu-rays on a mobile setup like that will likely be a popular landing place for this design, as well as any others using the short cable).  So, if you’ve got the right monitor and a box that can handle the heat, then you may have found a match…

All-in-one desktops generally leave consumers turning their nose up and moving down the technological aisle.  However, Acer’s new all-in-one model, the Aspire Z5763, has a few things that may prove intriguing to those that are unsure about the company’s products.  The Aspire will deliver 3D content through NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses in stereoscopic 3D, and a 2 Megapixel camera tracks user movements to ensure that you’re getting the most from your 3D experience.  The tracking technology is called “AirControl”, and will likely find plenty of uses in the very near future.

The specs (not glasses, but actual specifications) show that Acer has been working hard.  A 23-inch LCD delivers content at 1080p, and utilizes the Intel Sandy Bridge processor.  An NVIDIA GeForce GT 440M graphics card and a Blu-ray drive ensure that regardless of the medium you’re getting your content from, you’ll be getting it at a very high quality.

Two TB of storage should be pretty enticing for users that want to keep that content flowing.  Built-in speakers and a TV tuner ensure that it’ll take a bit of time to outgrow this baby.  The Z5763 will be available in the UK, though US markets may have to wait a bit to learn about market availability.  The unit itself has a nice, compact design, and we expect that it’ll entice more than a few consumers to give Acer a chance on this one.

Acer has released two new 3D monitors that give gamers seeking some new technology something to pine over.  The HS244HQ and HN274H are LED units that offer great versatility in terms of eye candy and desktop space.  Those with a lot of room to work with will likely take a hard look at the 27” HN274H.  With HDMI 3D and NVIDIA 3D Vision, users will enjoy incredible resolution and a set of NVIDIA active 3D glasses.  Priced at $689, the monitor may not be easy on the wallet, but for what you’re getting, the price is actually quite reasonable.

Should you have a smaller desktop, the HS244 HQ has a smaller screen (23.6”), but still maintains the 3D LCD design.  Also facilitating HDMI 3D, purchasers will also get a pair of Acer active 3D specs.  Full HD 3D films will be smooth and bright, and priced at $449, we expect this to become the more popular of the two.

Both designs feature a built-in IR emitter.  Ready for some 3D gaming?  Maybe the ability to watch the latest 3D flicks on your desktop?  Be sure that you have the spreadsheet you’re working on minimized and poised for a quick switch when your boss walks by…however, good luck explaining the 3D glasses…

There’s no doubt that Toshiba caught a bit of attention at CES when they showcased their Satellite L Series laptops.  Now that they’ve made their US appearance, Toshiba is making sure the entire world knows about the line by releasing new models in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 

The L730 and 735 have a smallish 13.3-inch screen, while the 750 and 755 offer up a 15.6-inch window.  For those that simply need as much viewing space as possible, the L770 and 775 have a 17.3-inch screen, and with announcements made regarding the 3D capabilities now being ushered in for the laptop line, expect these to become quite popular worldwide.

You can connect you L series to your 3D capable television via HDMI, convert certain content from 2D to 3D, and immediately begin enjoying the new push in streaming 3D content.  Consumers have the option of getting a unit with an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, and triple or quad-core power. 

A 1.3 megapixel webcam and Nvidia GeForce 315M card with 1GB of video memory should get gamers interesting in the line, as well.  Details are still hazy regarding an official release and pricing, but once this information gets to us, we’ll get it to you.  In the meantime, take a gander at the L-series and start licking your chops...
