It has been planned by LG that the UK version of their tablet Optimus Pad will be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2011. According to reports from a French news website this device will come with capabilities of 3D recording and a 3D screen. It has been stated by GPSandco that a spokesperson of LG in France has confirmed some information about the tablet. The most exciting feature is that it is capable of recording in 3D due to two different webcams. The display of 8.9 inch is also going to be 3D enabled. Auto stereoscopic displays will be used for doing away with the requirement of glasses. If this is true then it will be quite cool.
The Optimus Pad from LG will also possess the similar Tegra 2 dual core processor from Nvidia like the Xoom from Motorola. This tablet computer will be based on the Android 3.0 operating system.
UK price of the Optimus Pad
It has also been claimed by this site that an HDMI connector and USB ports will also be included. Like the Apple iPad this device will also come in a wide range of memory sizes. A possible price of the Optimus Pad from LG in the UK has been speculated as 250 pounds. It sounds highly attractive but it will be quite surprising if LG lands it at this price.
We have contacted with LG UK for getting confirmation about the price they had the same and usual response saying that they do not comment on speculation or rumor. So it is not sure that the news of the French spokesperson of LG is true or not.
If the tablet computer from LG really emerges with a 3D screen then that is going to be a powerful USP for the South Korean brand at the beginning of the competition among the Android tablets.
